Why should you get your tests done at PP DIAGNOSTYKA?

High-resolution imaging studies

  • Quality of examinations – at PP DIAGNOSTYKA, each examination protocol is arranged in such a way as to achieve maximum resolution. for example, for a standard examination of the brain, we use sequences with a resolution of 1mm, and sometimes in the case of tinnitus we use a sequence with a resolution of 0.6 mm to visualize neural structures. Performing examinations at such resolutions makes it possible to visualize pathological changes of only a few millimeters.

Isovolumetric Protocols

  • At PP DIAGNOSTYKA, we use a range of examination protocols that include isovolumetric, or three-dimensional, sequences. These allow a given structure to be imaged in any plane, with the same examination resolution.

Contrast agents

  • In our Laboratory, we use contrast agents from certified suppliers.

Detailed medical history

  • Each examination in our Laboratory is preceded by a detailed medical interview with the patient. In addition, we analyze (if any) existing medical records. Thanks to this, the examination is “tailored” to the needs of a particular patient. This means that an examination of, for example: the pelvis, can be performed according to a completely different protocol in Patient A, B or C, if their clinical problems in the pelvis differ. Conducting examinations in this way allows for an individualized approach to the patient and answers to the clinical questions posed.

Detailed Medical History

Individualized approach to the patient

  • Any examination performed at PP DIAGNOSTYKA is referred to radiologists who deal with a specific field in radiology. For example, an examination of, for example: the pelvis for endometriosis will be described by a radiologist who has extensive experience in this area, rather than, for example, a radiologist who describes joints on a daily basis. This is important for further clinical steps taken by specialists.

Individualized Approach to the Patient

Reducing the fear of claustrophobia

    • Our MRI is adapted for patients with claustrophobia – the width of the gantry (the opening of the MRI) is 70 cm, i.e. 10 cm more than in a standard apparatus. In addition, if the Patient indicates a sense of fear of the limited space inside the apparatus, we have the option of installing a so-called mirror, so that the Patient can see what is in front of him and not above him. From the information that Patients give us, this optical illusion has actually improved their comfort during the examination.
    Reducing the fear of claustrophobia
    • Knowing how often Patients express fear of “lack of air”, we took care of proper ventilation of the MRI Laboratory – we have the ability to adjust the air supply and direct the air flow towards the Patient’s face.

    Comfort of Plus Size Patients

    • The MRI that PP DIAGNOSTYKA has at its disposal is tailored for plus-size patients – the table has a lifting capacity of 250 kg and is equipped with coils that allow the patient to adopt and maintain a comfortable position during the examination.

    Comfort of Plus Size Patients

    Patient comfort and safety

    • We care very much about the comfort of each patient, so each time before the examination, the Electroradiologist presents the entire examination process and explains what it consists of. During the examination, the patient is in constant contact with the specialist, and is equipped with an “alarm pearl” so that he can stop the procedure at any time.

    Patient Thermal Comfort

    • As a rule, MRI laboratories are cool rooms due to the need to keep the magnets of the apparatus at a certain temperature. In our Laboratory, the temperature of the room is about 20*C-21*C, however, in order to provide comfort to warm-loving Patients, we have blankets with which we can cover the Patient at any stage of the examination.

    Protecting the Patient’s Hearing

    • At PP DIAGNOSTYKA, each patient receives hearing protection in the form of either headphones or stopwatches prior to the MRI scan, so that the sound generated during the test is significantly reduced. In addition, the apparatus we have at our disposal uses sequences that change the volume of electromagnetic gradients, so that the volume cross-section varies from 10-55 decibels (db).
